Single working mom of two teenaged kids currently living paycheck to paycheck who spends every spare moment sitting on her back porch with a cheesy piece of garbage book, a cigarette and a cup o' hot joe.....there's more of us than you think.

Actually, I would argue that the chunk of land that makes up the Midwest is best left undiscovered...but that's just a personal opinion...
I would in all seriousness recommend Hawaii and Alaska if you ever get the whim/opportunity.
You've got me beat by a landslide. I've been to NJ, NY, PA, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Florida. I've driven through, all of the eastern states from NJ to Florida, do they count?
Mrs R - Alaska is on my long list of places I want to visit but having lived in South Florida for a number of years, Hawaii is way down that list. I think I'd kinda like some of the Midwest, I prefer less populated areas (mid to small town) that are within close proximity of a large town or city.
Mrs. Schmitty - as long as you didn't sleep while you went through each of the states....count 'em!
I have 22 or so states left to go...and a whole bunch of foreign countries!
Maine. Go there. It's beautiful in the summer.
Ditto on Maine. It rocks, especially the Portland area.
Chicago is a really fun summer city, lots of outdoor fairs and festivals... and for a dog owner, there's one of the best dog parks,Doggie Beach, on Lake Michigan...
Oh, I've been to most of the states in the midwest & west, but have missed most of the south. I'd love to do a tour of Tennessee, Mississippi, etc. Let me know when you rent an RV & I'll join you.
