Thursday Thirteen - Thirteen Reasons We Love To Hate Florida

1. Palmetto Bugs (They fly and can grow up to two inches long...look how BIG that sucker is!)

2. Dinner plate sized mosquitoes

3. Love Bug Season

4. Tourists

5. Spring Break

6. Hurricanes

7. Rednecks (This is actually my brother “bobbin’ for pigs feet”)

8. Humidity so thick you can cut it with a knife

9. Lightning Alley (Area between Tampa and Orlando)

10. The Shell Outlet

11. Retirees

12. Yucky, stiff grass

13. Palmetto Bugs (I have to list these guys twice!!!!)

Okay, after looking at all of those photos, maybe this winter isn't that bad after all...

Wow. I am ready to pack my bags and move. I lived in Orlando, Florida for a brief time when I was in the Navy and it was a pleasant enough experience. But I was 18 and more concerned about meeting ladies than actually soaking up the Florida experience. I also lived in Alaska and there are some nasty bugs up there. And I don't miss the humidity at all. I don't know people can live in it especially in August.

*gulp* I had to kill one of those monsters this weekend. Good thing i trained my dog to eat them and didn't have to touch the damn thing!
